With all that is going on, we wanted to bring some good news to those of you who are unsure about the real estate market by sharing a story from this past week!
4303 Oxford Circle: Windsor Farms
Earlier in March, Realtors® Jim and Debbie Amrhein went through the listing process with their clients prior to putting the home on the market. They made sure they knew how to prep the house, what to expect during the process, and made sure that they were completely taken care of. The home was prepped, professional photos and video were taken, and the marketing plan in place!
The house went on the market on Monday, March 16th and Debbie and Jim received a call from another agent asking if they could do a FaceTime tour for their buyer.
The agent explained that their clients had intended on coming to Richmond to look at homes that week, but unfortunately could not leave New York where they currently reside. After setting up a time to meet at the house, the agent walked through with their phone to provide a virtual tour.
The potential buyers were excited about the house and, after being able to see and “walk through” the home via video chat, they knew that this was the house for them. An offer was presented and accepted on Tuesday, March 17th, not to mention, the offer was roughly 4.5% over the asking price! We want to offer a big, heartfelt “congratulations!” to both parties!
There is no doubt that these are strange times we are going through at the moment. With that said, we are here to shed some light and to let you know that the real estate market is moving forward. People are still buying and selling homes. Even though we are all learning to adapt, we are here for our clients and here for the community.
